Talent4Care Programme

Interested in training and gaining qualifications with direct access to employers who have job vacancies?  The Talent4Care Programme could be for you.  This 10-week training programme runs throughout the year.  The programme is available to anyone who is wanting to work in the sector and is over the age of 19 years.  If you are unemployed, you may be eligible for support with cost for travel and childcare costs too. 

The training is currently delivered online with live interactive teaching sessions from 10am -2:30pm for 4 days per week Monday - Thursday for 5 weeks, followed by 5 weeks delivery on Tuesday and Wednesday (2 days) from 10am -2:30pm (10 weeks in total).  You will do a mock interview session and receive support to step into employment roles in the sector.

We are also providing weekly workshop sessions at our health and social care career academy at Bickerstaffe House.

If you have empathy, compassion and you enjoy working with people, the Talent4Care programme is for you. 

What you will learn:

During the programme you will gain health and social care qualifications in Level 1 Awards in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care, Dementia, Employability Skills and Well being.  You also have the opportunity to gain further qualifications on the Talent4Care part 2 and gain a level 2 qualification in dementia awareness. 

We work in partnership with a number of social care and health providers who have vacancies and we will support you to gain employment in the sector.

You may be eligible for a bursary of £10 per week with a 90% course attendance.

You will require a computer/tablet to access the online learning.  Please speak to your Job Centre work coach if you do not have a computer/tablet and they may be able to support.
