Talent4Care Programme

Interested in training and gaining qualifications with direct access to employers who have job vacancies?  The Talent4Care Programme could be for you.  This 6-week training programme runs throughout the year.  The programme is available to anyone who is wanting to work in the sector and is over the age of 19 years.  If you are unemployed, you may be eligible for support with cost of travel and childcare costs (speak to your Job Centre advisor) to see if you are eligible for the funding.

The training takes place at the Health and Social Care Career Academy, Bickerstaffe House, 1 Bickerstaffe Square, Talbot Road, Blackpool (next door to Sainsbury's and opposite Blackpool North train station)

What you will learn:

During the programme you will gain health and social care qualifications in Level 1 Awards in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care, Alcohol and Substance Misuse, Nutrition and Hydration, Employability Skills, Dementia, Disability Awareness, Employability Skills and Personal and Social Development. Care with Confidence

This 2 day course over 6 weeks gives you a Level 1 Award in Introduction to Health, Social Care and Children’s and Young People’s Settings plus an award in Maths/English.  This course is available to individuals over the age of 19 who have been unemployed for 12 months plus.  The course aims to give you confidence and knowledge to progress onto the Talent4Care Programme.
